Meet Jane — My Kintsugi Journey: Finding Strength in the Cracks

If you’ve ever felt like life’s cracks have broken you, I’m here to tell you—they’re where your strength and beauty begin. When I was five, my father was killed in Vietnam. Decades later, in one of the hardest seasons of my life, I served in a California fire camp on a helitack team, fighting wildland fires. In the heat and intensity, I discovered grit, courage, and resilience I didn’t know I had. Those cracks didn’t break me—they became the foundation for redesigning my life.

I’ve been the woman who smiled on the outside but felt invisible inside—the woman who carried too much, said yes when I wanted to say no, and wondered if it was too late for me. I also found a way to break free—from old roles, outdated rules, and the “not enough” story. Now, I help midlife women do the same.

As the only child to my mom, Kazue, and the only parent to Sachi, I’ve felt the weight of being the anchor. Those seasons taught me faith, forgiveness, and perseverance—and that love, even when messy, is the foundation of everything.
